Фестиваль феміністичного кіно «Фільма» розпочнеться 23 листопада і триватиме до 8 грудня. На сайті фестивалю будуть доступні 15 стрічок у трьох програмах: сформована за результатами опен-колу добірка «Контрпам’яті: долаючи мовчання», квіркемп-програма «Нерівні! Різні! Розлючені!» та екофеміністична добірка «Хто боїться справжніх імен?».

After nearly two years of hiatus, Feminist Critique is coming back to life with a restructured team and a new approach to work.

C радостью объявляем о запуске дискуссионного форума, посвященного обсуждению «Манифеста Черного феминизма». Форум открыт для мнений и размышлений о том, какое значение «Манифест Черного феминизма» и его перевод могут иметь в постсоветском регионе. Мы приглашаем всех желающих делиться размышлениями о том, какие критики, способы видения, саморефлексии и рефлексии этот манифест позволяет озвучить в постсоветском контексте. Надеемся, что дискуссионный форум даст возможность обсудить практики квир-феминистской солидарности, а также вопросы расизма, этноцентризма, колониальности, империализма в постсоветском контексте.

“The Cave of the Golden Rose” Feminist Art Project

May 2019

The story of the children’s TV series built around a fairytale about a princess who succeeded posing as a male knight is not unproblematic. In fact, it clearly calls for a critical interpretation as a narrative that excludes many things to assert something certain. It’s more anthropomorphic and anthropocentric than the other way around. This particular, barely working and “distant” form attracts us by the opportunity to assert our love for telling stories. It includes the love for writing and for the voice telling the story, the love for other women’s (no-men’s) passionate voices weaving the things they tell into life, the love for one’s own voice, for erotic pleasure of touching yourself and for the sensation of self. Stigmatisation of Feminism as Gender Ideology: A Key Element of Right-Wing Populism in Hungary

The stigmatisation of ’gender’ as the main category of feminist ideology has become a central element of state political discourse in Hungary since 2010. In my talk first I shall identify the three junctures of meaning-making since the system change in 1989 that have crystallized into discourses of ’gender ideology’ and ’gender-craze’ of right-wing populism.
