The First Issue of the "Feminist Critique" Journal Is Published

We are delighted to announce the publication of the first issue of the "Feminist Critique" journal! The issue includes papers on the feminist criticality of war and militarization, translated texts on the queer art of failure and autoethnography as a feminist method, blog entries about Foucault and transgender experience, reviews on anti-oppressive pedagogies and feminist arts.

Presentation of the "Feminist Critique: East European Journal of Feminist and Queer Studies" took place on April 5th, 2017 in the office of Fulbright Program in Kyiv. Editors-in-chief Maria Mayerchyk and Olga Plakhotnik presented the paper «Ukrainian Feminist Protest Between “Nation Time” and “Feminist Time”». (Read in Ukrainian, English, Russian).

Call for Submission

Feminist Critique invites submissions on the broadest range of topics from scholars that have, however, feminist and/or queer-theoretical positionality. We especially encourage to submit materials written from multiple interdisciplinary perspectives, including but not limited to postcolonial and post-Soviet studies, critical race studies, transgender studies, crip studies, post-human studies, critical study of capitalism, nationalism, citizenship, migration, and issues of belonging.

New East European Journal of Feminist and Queer Studies "Feminist Critique" is Launched

September 2016

Krytyka Institute and Center For Culture Anthropology Studies are glad to announce the launch of the new scholarly peer-reviewed open-access journal Feminist Critique: East European Journal of Feminist and Queer Studies. The journal publishes papers on the broadest range of topics from scholars that have, however, feminist and/or queer-theoretical positionality. We consider feminism as more than debate about women's rights and gender equality, and we see queer theory as more than discussion on LGBT.
